I think about Kate Michelman (sp?) the NARAL leader, a young Catholic wife in the 1960s abandoned by her husband with three young kids. She wasn’t even for abortion rights before that. Now look at all the evil she’s done. Good going, dude.

It’s when the men fall over that some bad women rise up.

I don’t think anyone on this thread is saying that FReeper women shouldn’t vote. I am sure we all vote. I understand the position to be, it would be better for election results in America if ALL women didn’t vote. You’d miss my vote, but you’d cancel out a lot of welfare voters, too, for a net gain of conservative votes. It’s an obvious truth, whether we like it or not.

Obviously, the statistics are different in the Middle East. Do the men there even vote in most countries? I don’t think so. So it is not fair to say we all want an Islamic Republic! We are just noting, accurately, that the country has gone downhill towards socialism since women started voting.

This whole conversation is so patently illogical and therefore false, that a I must keep coming back to it. The analogy you present, and you are simply parroting the others who would deny women the vote, has to be brought full circle. Most blacks vote democratic, ipso facto, most blacks should not have the vote. Most Catholics vote democratic, ipso facto, most Catholics should not have the vote. That is the argument all of you are presenting and I will fight it to the end exposing it for what it is: stupidity and bigotry. That's not my Republican party. Further, we can win on ideas, but we have to do a much better job of presenting those ideas. I'm not afraid of that. Why are the girly men here afraid? And by extension, their cowering women. I won't be that kind of a boot licker. Fearing the left and reacting by taking a giant step back in time is tantamount to fearful bootlicking: say, I know, maybe if we take a way a woman's right to vote, maybe then we can win.

We can win on our ideas and by explaining those ideas in a compelling way; that's how Ronald Reagan did it, and that's how we can do it. Scaredy Cats. Bah! V's wife.
