The Holy Spirit is not about to witness to anyone about Joseph Smith. The purpose of the HS is to point to Christ, and Jesus Christ is the end of prophecy.

Furthermore, no one can have the gift of the HS who does not believe that Jesus is Who He said He is, as revealed in the Holy Word of God.
