No it was between the Catholics and Protestants!
When I was Prebyterian in the 60’s some would wear Orange on St Paddy day in Michigan!
It was well known even among the protestants denominations there was those who thought they better than the others.
I lived throuh it you were Mormon in those day in Utah you did not live through this in Midwest America!
It was not until the 80’s before things started to become ecumentical.
Amazing...
You totally skip over the numerous ecumenical organizations world wide that serve mankind daily, the thousands of non denominational worship services that occur during Christian holidays across this great land, the number of charities that are promoted by people of all Christian strips, all with nary a knife drawn or shot fired.
I remember vividly the tremendous outpouring of love and support from PROTESTIANTS that went out to the CATHOLIC Church when John Paul II passed, a great and revered leader and servant of the True Christ. We even had a brief service and prayer in honor of the man the following Sunday in my Church.
Yeah, you miss all that in your 5 thousand mile 30 decade ago trip.
What;’s next, the Salem witch trials?
The Inquisition?
Pathetic...
