There are kindergarteners in Japan that can perform Algebra...It is the culture.

They also are committing suicide because perfection is not possible.

Mormon culture is just as unforgiving to the imperfect as the Japanese.

It destroys one's soul, because impefection leads not only to misery on earth, but in the eternities as well. It kills all hope.

There are also Japanese kindergartners who wet themselves.

They also are committing suicide because perfection is not possible.

Statistics on Japanese suicides VS those who wet themselves are almost nonexistent.

Mormon culture is just as unforgiving to the imperfect as the Japanese.

And again, those who wet themselves are left as a fringe group.
This is what we see today, regarding this anti-FReeper website.

It destroys one's soul, because impefection leads not only to misery on earth

As well as soggy undergarments, regardless of how sacred those may be.

It kills all hope.

It also creates a market for plastic sheets, which is good.

What a profound statement of experiential (& sad) insight. Thank you for sharing your "inside" observation. Thank you for your willingness to be transparent -- and even vulnerable. It's this kind of testimony that I pray will help LDS look deep inside their own culture...suicide and attempted suicide has claimed way too many in Utah, in part, due to this cultural influence of perfectionistic hopelessness.

To paraphrase Jesus, the perfectly well have no need of a doctor. He came to heal the sick -- and that starts with ALL of us realizing how spiritually sick we all are.
