And in those big families of yours, were unsolicited comments from another family member that had nothing to do w/ the argument welcomed? Were they received well? If so, you’re an anomaly as I’m sure you well know.
Don’t doubt that I would use the word spam w/ you in a face to face, that’s how I feel & I never hide behind keyboards. Although I would extend those sentiments in a loving way :)

What? Do you rule extended families with such an iron hand that...
(a) you rule apriori on what is relevant to the convo and what isn't?
And (b) Do you truly mean that your extended family members need to be solicited before they give an opinion? Wow!
