To be fair, leaving the LDS can be quite scary. For some, if not many, they risk losing everything if they leave and embrace Christianity. They risk losing their marriages, children, relationships with parents and siblings, friends, even jobs and housing.
For those who do take the risk, they find a joy in Christ that is unsurpassed by anything they can lose. Ch
