I am a Photogenic Epileptic and because of congress short sightedness, I will be going to led light bulbs. The compact Florsants that the gov.’t wants us to get sets me into seizures. Also thunder storms, tv sets,older style computer monitors, and just about anything that runs/operates at the 30 Hrtz. frequency. So now I have to be really careful on where I go and for how long I am away from home. And yes that does suck sand out of an old dirty boot too!

I just picked up some LED bulb's at Sam's Club to try them out. They were cheaper than the compact fluorescent bulbs. The light is highly directional and they don't seem quite as bright as the regular bulbs I've got in the same fixture. They're supposed to last longer and use only a fraction of the electricity of the CFB. We'll see after the other regular bulbs burn out.
