Show your liberal friends and neighbors that you appreciate the efforts of GENERATIONS of mankind working to bring us out of the darkness!!!
(While THEY sit in the dark...) (I see SYMBOLISM in that...)
An rememeber, that’s 8:30 pm local time, kind of a rolling “Lights ON!” to counter the rolling “shiver and die in the dark” idiots.
these idiotic libs have it all wrong. Instead of turning off their lights for an hour to save the planet, they’d do a lot more to save the planet of CO2 emissions if they just stopped breathing for that hour!
"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Thanks Michelle, for another brilliantly bright idea!
Jimmy Carter invented this hysteria in the 70’s having everybody living in the dark (well that plus turning the lights out)and we’re still here
We’ll have all 4 of our tvs going, plus a majority of lights in the house, plus two computers and a laptop, plus a vaporizer and humidifier, plus...
I’d be curious to see one of those “Earth at Night From Space” pics where you can see all the ‘light pollution’. My house is gonna be really bright in protest! :-)
DAG! I packed up all my Christmas lights on January 7!
We’ve been planning on doing this all week!
I have a barn light for the horse, a lit up pathway to the MIL’s house behind mine, and lights over the garage to keep the raccoons back in the woods. That and someone is always up half the night watching tv or on the computer. We’re the only entertainment Bigfoot has back here in the mountains and he’s more important than any enviro whacko and how can he look in the windows if the lights are off
Shiver and DIE IN THE DARK HOUR!
I like that!!!
Well heck....I was going to turn mine off at bedtime as usual....no sense in wasting energy. I didn’t know I would be voting though so I guess I’ll vote for global warming.
The idea, mentioned above, for them to stop breathing for an hour to reduce their CO2 output is excellent.
I will turn on every light and heater in the house. I shall run outside and start my car engine and turn on the headlights. I may use my fireplace for the first time and burn the most smoke producing objects I can find. Rent a cannister of CO2 and open the valve. The possibilities are endless.
Heck, I do this every day at every hotel room I stay in (over 200 a year), but admittedly it is self serving, since Im in the business of starting up new power plants!
This reminds me of a county song that went something like this:
Every light in the house is on
The backyard’s bright as the crack of dawn
Thr front walk looks like runway lights
It’s kinda like noon in the dead of night
(Trace Adkins)
If I think of it tonight, I’m going to turn on everyone of my outdoor lights.
Is that 8:30 EST?
Make sure you open your blinds/curtains to make sure the lights are highly visible.
I’m cranking everything on for the entire hour.
All I have to do to counter every one of the neighbors for miles around who think they are doing something by turning out their lights, is crank my electric furnace up for an hour. That baby sucks up a lot of juice to put out that 150,000 BTU an hour.
