Meghan McCain is a few major media appearances away from being known as the "new young Republican" and voice of moderate conservatism, says the Atlantic Monthly.

Just great...

This is The Atlantic's idea of an ideal Republican. Young, moderate, not too bright, somewhat incoherent, non-conservative.

Again the media is working hard at redefining the GOP.  They are pushing and promoting moderates as the future of the GOP. This is what they did with John McCain, until he won the primaries and then he wasn't useful anymore. The same media that promoted McCain then attacked him, and wouldn't even spare his wife in the pursuit of their agenda.  Their agenda was to get McCain to win the GOP nomination, so Obama could defeat him in the general election.  Once McCain won the nomination, he was attacked by the media from every corner, while on the other hand, they kept Obama's secrets, his past, and his campaign gaffes underreported.

This is just another media campaign to change the GOP to fit their standards, and Meghan is just an useful pawn. The only problem is that Meghan doesn't have a broad political knowledge base, and is quite ignorant of the prevalent political landscape. That's why I think that no matter how much the media pushes her as as the “new face of the GOP,” she won't have any lasting impact.
