Meghan McCain is a few major media appearances away from being known as the "new young Republican" and voice of moderate conservatism, says the Atlantic Monthly.
We don't know about all that, but it is fun sometimes to follow this local celebrity's life on the Internet.
It turns out that we share an appreciation for ...and You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead. Following her post in the Daily Beast earlier this month in which she laments that she can't find the right man, we were relieved to hear the post has resulted in numerous date offers. On her Twitter site, we learned where she's getting her education in economics.
The Atlantic, which is the magazine that got mixed up in the flap between Meghan's dad and renegade photographer Jill Greenberg, reports on McCain's centrist conservative tendencies -- she calls herself a "progressive Republican."
But soft-pedaling doesn't fly so well in today's polarized environment -- right-wing pundit Laura Ingraham says Meghan, 24, is nothing more than a "useful idiot" to liberals who want to divide and conquer their enemies.
Ingraham may have a point. It's hard to tell which party Meghan McCain is helping more.
Surely there things that can be done to abuse her of this notion.
She is a NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY. The more you post about her the more you elevate such an insignificant person and this is exactly what the left want you to do.
This nobody must of hired a publicist or something.
I’m seeing more stories about her lately than Lindsay Lohan.
It’s funny i practically had no idea that she even exsisted during the campaign.
She is a “new young RINO” just as her Dad is an “old RINO”.
I propose we amend the Constitution so that a family may plague the Republic for only one generation.
Not so fast little girl, you are going no where.
Put a horn on her nose and she can be a RHINO as well as a RINO.
I’m SO sure.

Hey, the Dems are annointing a new lovable and disposable Republican!!!! Hey, Everybody, please get excited!!!!
Wouldn’t it be nice if those who hate republicans would stop telling everyone who the republican “in crowd” is?
Sort of like the Grand Wizard of the KKK selecting who the “Official Black Leadership” is.
Mark
Same old LSM, same old tactic. Take a “Republican” who isn’t the choice of conservatives, and elevate her to status as “mainstream,” like they did for her father.
RULES!
Especially her laugh, but my son told me I have no right to comment on anybody’s laugh.
Michael Steele spoke at the Republican Convention in 2004, and was very well received.
AND the liberal Bill Bennett has him hosting his show a lot of Fridays.
Well, like, ya know, the GOP is about dead anyway.
Horse crap.
If this know nothing turd is a voice of the republican party then it really is time to re-register as a conservative.
Again the media is working hard at redefining the GOP. They are pushing and promoting moderates as the future of the GOP. This is what they did with John McCain, until he won the primaries and then he wasn't useful anymore. The same media that promoted McCain then attacked him, and wouldn't even spare his wife in the pursuit of their agenda. Their agenda was to get McCain to win the GOP nomination, so Obama could defeat him in the general election. Once McCain won the nomination, he was attacked by the media from every corner, while on the other hand, they kept Obama's secrets, his past, and his campaign gaffes underreported.
This is just another media campaign to change the GOP to fit their standards, and Meghan is just an useful pawn. The only problem is that Meghan doesn't have a broad political knowledge base, and is quite ignorant of the prevalent political landscape. That's why I think that no matter how much the media pushes her as as the new face of the GOP, she won't have any lasting impact.
"I straight up don't understand this woman or her popularity. I find her offensive, radical, insulting, and confusing all at the same time. But no matter how much you or I disagree with her, the cult that follows Coulter cannot be denied" - Meghan Mccain
The cult? This not only shows Meghan's ignorance but also her total lack of understanding that the cult is just the conservative base. Obviously, she can't understand conservative thinking and the things she finds offensive, radical, and insulting are the basic tenets and principles of conservatism. Coulter's writing style employs both humor and sarcasm, and it is maddening to liberals. I can see how Meghan gets confused.
