President Obama has just spoken on AfPak. I closed my eyes and listened closely to his words, coming via the BBC from the other side of the world.
The President's words were disappointing. He talked about our goal to reach a force level of 134,000 Afghan soldiers and 82,000 police by 2011. This is not even in the neighborhood of being enough. Further, the increase of 21,000 U.S. troops is likely just a bucket of water on the growing bonfire. One can only expect that sometime in 2010, the President will again be forced to announce another increase in U.S. forces in Afghanistan.
If there were not people like Gates and Petraeus up there, my gut would say to pull out. It is only my faith in the military, and what I saw them accomplish against heavy odds in Iraq, that gives me hope.

Growing bonfire? Bring the troops home to protect us from the BrownShirt Americorps Army Hussein is a building.
That still might not stop it though. Lots of crazy islamics out there.
I have read Yon for quite some time and have a lot of respect for his reporting however I find that when he starts talking about politics that he seems to be off base. I think he is the typical Left of Center decent sort of man of the folks but I bet he voted for Obama and will have a difficult time opposing the fraud that is Obama....just MHO. Sometimes I just wish he would shut up.

Obama is more clueless than Johnson was when he kept sending more and more troops to Vietnam.
It is obscene to commit troops without a simultaneous commitment to win.
If you haven’t already done so, see oath-keepers.blogspot.com.
Thank you. We have to find a ex-JAG officer who is practicing law to take on the cases for all active military as John and Jane Does. A top ex-military attorney with experience.
Our soldiers should not have to take order from an ineligible Isalmo-Usurper born in Kenya. He is already ineligible because his father was a British citizen.

______________-
There are a lot of us out here, but I’m not sure why it would require JAG or military justice experience.
Colonel, USAFR

I think the active duty might trust a former JAG officer and current attorney now.
Thousands of military as John and Jane Does in a case at SCOTUS essentially telling SCOTUS to do their duty or the military will do it and defend the Constitution. We are running out of time.
Any top attorney will do. Orly Taitz is trying very hard but she does not have trial experience.
