The reason they wanted this initiative is the California, unlike any other state, has the distinction that two thirds of the people sent to prison are for parole violations. And the parole officers are from the same union as the prison guards.

But their little industry is starting to cost them too much in legal bills so they are complaining. I do not think any court could rule with these guys. They are clearly out of it if they think they can deny these people lawyers.
