We now know by this vote we are in this alone, no one in congress stands for freedom.

Not entirely, but for the most part, we are.

The list of Republicans who voted against the GIVE Act this afternoon:

  1. Sessions (Ala.)
  2. Shelby (Ala.)
  3. Kyl (Ariz.)
  4. Crapo (Idaho)
  5. Risch (Idaho)
  6. Brownback (Kan.)
  7. Roberts (Kan.)
  8. McConnell (Ky.)
  9. Bunning (Ky.)
  10. Vitter (La.)
  11. Ensign (Nev.)
  12. Coburn (Okla.)
  13. Inhofe (OKla.)
  14. DeMint (S.C.)
  15. Graham (S.C.)
  16. Corker (Tenn.)
  17. Cornyn (Tex.)
  18. Barrasso (Wyo.)

However, quite a few on the list can be flaky, e.g., McConnell and Kyl.

I am amused by the name of the bill: The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act.

BWAHAHAhahahahaha! ! ! ! !

I wonder if Rush really did preempt them on the health care bill, so now Teddy gets his moniker on a mandatory service law.

As often as Lindsay needs to put on a new pair of kneepads.

Democrats, with a very few exceptions, have core values; Bigger government, a more controlling government, a free spending government, and a lust for power. Thus, there are very few DINO’s.

Republicans, on the other hand, with a few exceptions, have no core values; Smaller government, a less controlling government, a fiscally responsible government and less interest in power as such. Thus, most all Republicans are, in fact, RINO’s.

This makes it difficult for Republicans to compete. As is said, the playing field is not level. You can see this in the way Republicans vote. On some issues, it would appear that McCain is conservative and then on others he is a liberal. And that is the way with most Republicans and thus so many RINO’s and that drives us nuts.

There is only one solution, a 3rd Party for committed conservatives only. It would take time, but to get a bunch of RINO’s to become conservative is hopeless. And the current Republican Party will soon be history.

“The whole program is a cover to indoctrinate people into the truth of socialism.”

Only an idiot or a fool would neglect to realize it.

Apparently ‘captain obvious’ doesn’t work the floor of the senate!

So if the mandatory thing is in the House bill, but not the Senate bill, mayhap it can be removed in conference.

Can someone please tell me why a ‘volunteer’ program COSTS money? I worked for three weeks in Baton Rouge at the Food Bank after Hurricane Katrina, and I didn’t need no stinkin’ Americorp program.

I can only see the situation resolved one way. If there is any hope for people to live free. Split the country in two. One half is the Free States of America with a constitution that cannot be ignored or changed by whims. And a Socialist States of America where they can do whatever they damn well please.

It is o.k. with me. I made peace with my Maker a long time ago. While there are many things I may be a governmental slave is not one of them. I am ready when they are.

She ticks me off. I contacted her and told her I was against this bill.

I don’t think she’ll be getting my vote for governor.
