RNC's Steele: Confronting Limbaugh Was 'All Strategic'
Newsmax ^ | 03-26-09 | David A. Patten

To hear GOP Chairman Michael Steele tell it, his recent donnybrook with radio host Rush Limbaugh - and his subsequent apology - were all part of a grand "strategic" plan.

"I'm a cause-and-effect kind of guy," Steele told CNN’s Don Lemon on Wednesday. "So if I do something, there's a reason for it... Even it may look like a mistake, a gaffe. There is a rationale, there is a logic behind it," he said.

I'vew suspected this about Steele. What I understand is that he IS a man of faith, and that he plays the media's fiddle to get results. Don't judge Steele by what he says to the media, judge him by upcoming results.

It was Bob Beckel that stated on Hannity's program that Steele is a formidable opponent, and that he needs to be respected. Now, this could simply be a ruse to get us to support a weak Republican too, I know this, but Beckel seemed very sincere about his experience when engaging Steele.

I’m sorry, I don’t think he’s formidable at all. ‘Pod.

That’s funny, because it was a strategic plan on the part of Obama’s team as well. Who says that the parties can’t agree on anything!

Like the guy who trips on a crack in the side and says, “I was trying to do that.”

Silly me, I thought when Michael Steele compared Republicans to Nazi Germany, and then DEFENDED THE COMMENT, that it was a gaffe. Guess it was all part of the plan...???

>> Steele is a formidable opponent, and that he needs to be respected.

Oh really?

Then he can DAMN WELL EARN IT.

He’s dug himself a VERY deep hole with me, as far as respect is concerned.

I would respect him if he resigned though.

A Bbeckel liberal will try to make you think because Steele is black he will have a tough time being critized, since that is the way Obama is being handled.

Steele will not escape the wrath of conservatives as they do not play that way with the social consciousness. They will call it the way it is and give Steele as much criticism as he deserves, regardless of color.

Liberals are awash with guilt and enough of that cleanser was sprinkled on the populace to get Obama elected.

It will not make Steele more formidable at all.

Steele is going to have to either accede to the GOP’s platform, or yank out a plank that will cause major lossage of GOP voters to spoiler parties.

He’s crazy if he thinks the GOP is going to succeed minus a hefty pro-life plank.

In other news...

General Custer claims it was his brilliant strategy to get surrounded while outnumbered by the Sioux at Little Big Horn.

King Guy of Jerusalem claims it was “all strategic” as to why he was captured and his army destroyed at the Horns of Hattin.

And there is no way American forces are near Baghdad, the fierce Iraqi fighters will drown them in their own blood.

Sheesh.

Beckel seemed very sincere

Beckel is a smarmy weasel. "Sincere" is on the other end of the field from that corpulent toady.
