Being an old deaconess of the Faith (in Jesus Christ),
I see these films come and go. I also expect new
(and allbeit Biblically illiterate) believer’s to pitch
themselves into a frothy outrage.
Our best defense is to pray that God would put a shield
of confusion over the uninitiated who see the movie.
Ask God to pour out His light on that dark place, that
darkness cannot dwell with light. Seems to me it would
be pretty difficult to view a movie with the Light of
Christ shining everywhere.
Our next defense is to quit talking about it with
reactive outrage. It only kindles curiousity and fuels
interest in this kind of filth.
I have learned to be still and know that God is in
control.

No, I wouldn’t react to it with outrage, but rather with cool, hard, and precise analysis and logic, in terms of what the Bible gives us and what we know of the world, in other words, present the Biblical worldview in contrast to that one. Stuff like this is only going to increase in the coming years. I do think that there has to be a response.
And, as Christians, I don’t think there should be any fear in listening/viewing it. We, as Christians, do know the truth and we can see where the lie is, in this presentation. It pays to know what the precise lies are, so that we are able to give a response to those who ask us — like them saying, “Well, what about this Zeitgeist movie?” Be ready to give them an answer of the hope that is within us, from Jesus Christ our Savior and be prepared to knock down the lies that they have heard....
I personally don’t have any problem at all, as a Christian, in listening to this stuff, because what it tells me is where the “thinking” of many in society are at, so I “know where to go” with my conversation with them. I’m not caught by surprise by something they might say or about information that they think is valid, which I can show them differently.
Have no fear... :-)
