Right. It’s not just a “tradition” that an unborn baby is a human being with a life that should be protected. This attempt to spin the issues in the language of relativism and multiculturalism, as if the Catholic position is just one among others, all considered on equal footing, is condescending and absurd. This statement by the White House demonstrates their contempt for the unborn and for Catholics.

Seems that way.
Write like a dolt and folks will take you for one.
what a load. for lack of a capital ‘o’ and a full stop, you p*ss off someone you don’t know? are you an arsehole in real life too, or just on the internet?
Fr, Jenkins:
My family will no longer be making contributions to the University unless the speech by Barack Obama is cancelled.
Mr. Obama is a supporter of abortion. Worse, he is a supporter of third trimester abortion. Horribly and inexplicably he even supports letting a child die of negligence (murder) if it survives the abortion process.
How you can have such a person speak at a catholic institution and bestow an honorary degree upon him is bewildering, frustrating, and contrary to all we believe.
On the day the speech is cancelled, I will send my next contribution check. Until then, I will not and I will encourage my two alumni friends to do the same.
Don't you just love that the FR spell check doesn't recognize the word Obama?
My word processor still wants to change his name to osama.
Oooooooh! I’ll bet Notre Dame is SCARED!!!
Why, the next time Bishop D’Arcy finds out a priest is molesting kids—he could BOYCOTT THE PARISH’s FALL SUPPER!!!
Sounds to me like a tacit admission that Obama does not "recognize the dignity of people", and an admission that abortion is an offense against the "dignity of people".
Amazing. Wow.
Only to illiterates.
Probably not. Apostates rarely are.
When the administration hears the sound of a lot of checkbooks closing, they may at least feel a pang of regret.
[letter in today's ND student newspaper] This past Friday I received the quarterly notice from Notre Dame requesting my contribution to the Annual Fund. Rather than make my usual donation to the fund, this year I will instead make a second donation to the National Right to Life Committee. This donation will be made in honor of Notre Dame University. The entire Notre Dame family is obliged to express our feelings in some tangible way. I hope that this will inspire others to respectfully protest the misguided choices made by the leaders of our beloved Notre Dame.
