Fire Marshall Accused in Hit & Run

WESTLAND, Mich. - - Westland Fire Marshall Christopher Szpara is accused of being involved in a hit and run accident in that city last night.

Wayne Police confirm that they stopped a vehicle involved in a hit and run accident, but turned the case over to Westland because that is where the incident happened.

This, when four young people were killed by a drunk driver in Macomb County? She's in jail. Police, fire and other officials including judges, often get a free pass. Suggestion: Find out where your local police, fire and other departmental golf outings are this year and if you DARE, take note of what you see. A pair of binoculars will be helpful. They're not all drinking lemonade out there. In fact, those kinds of golf outings are notorious for serving mass quantities of alcoholic beverages to players and non-players. I'm sure if you were to stake them out (ATTN: MADD), you would observe them drinking and driving in golf carts for hours before they get back into their cars later. Go to the golf course the following morning by 5 AM and see how many cars were left behind the night before. IF you dare!
