Access has been gained here in Kabul to two former high-ranking officials of the now-deposed Taliban government to hear their view of the possibility of an opening for dialogue.
Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, who was the Talibans ambassador to Pakistan, and Mullah Wakil Ahmad Mutawakil, who served as foreign minister during the Taliban regime, confirmed in separate interviews that such talks were feasible, but that they would need to begin with a fundamental understanding that the view of this conflict looks very different from an Afghan-Taliban perspective.

obama’s ready whenever those two goons are...
indeed! :)
indeed! :)
sorry! over zealous entering...didn’t mean to “indeed” twice!
That must be like a reverse “Murphy Brown.” For those who watched the show there was a running gag where her secretary each episode was always a different person. In his case the the people he worked for was always changing as we frequently killed them off.
Will they be residing in the Lincoln bedroom during their stay at the Whitehouse?
I just thought it was because there were two of them mentioned in the article.
;^)
I wonder if Dear Leader will pull his two girls out of school to respect the beliefs of his two new friends?
Only after Sharia law becomes the law of our land.
He’s got to keep up his “cover” for now.

The Talibs were stupid to get involved in a war against us. They chose to back Bin Ladin; they probably thought we were kidding. We weren’t.
By now, they know we’re not kidding, though. Still, all they have to do is give up Al Qaeda, and stop fighting against our allies. If they can’t do that, then we can keep killing them. Its their choice to make.
We shouldn’t let them impose Taliban government on Kabul as the price of peace with them. The price of peace should be that they turn over whoever they are harboring, and stop killing aid workers and construction workers, and stop killing American and Afghan government soldiers. Do that, and they can come home and return to private life.
If they insist on killing people, if they insist on continuing their “civil war” against aid workers and soldiers and the central government, if they insist on attacking school girls and teachers, then they can’t be too surprised when a hellfire missile comes through the window of their villa some night.
Thanks :) your right...that was no mistake! And also, I think it was the Queen’s bedroom...not the Lincoln
Hell, yeah. They don't currently get to go around whacking those burqua wearing females with their little sticks like they used to. They need to get back such a fundamental right, stolen by the foreign infudel invaders.
That is quite horrifying, and makes me question why something like this is so open for everyone’s views and nothing is being done!
keyword FORMER..not CURRENT!
Well, they couldn’t be ‘current’...there is no current Taliban government.
I suggest you send a copy of that url to everybody you know maybe that will wake em up!
All “former Taliban” are dead Taliban. There’s no such thing as a living “former Taliban”.
