And all primaries should be on the same day accross the country.
No offense to anyone in Iowa, but I really dont like the idea of you picking the canditate.
Good idea. The open primary has to go, and I think a one day primary idea has some merit, although sometimes, the lengthy process allows nutbags to be found out and disposed of early enough in the process so as to not gum up the works for the general.
This wouldn't be fair to unknown conservative candidates. The primaries should be closed but should begin in the least populated red states so that unknown conservative candidates have a more level playing field with well financed (and more liberal) RINO candidates.
If I had my way, I would order the primaries with the smallest (in population) reddest states going first. For example, Wyoming would most likely be first on my calendar. After a month or so of small state primaries I would have all of the big red states (Texas, Georgia, etc.) going on a single Super Tuesday. If there's no winner after that, I'd have all the big blue states do another Super Tuesday, and the small blue states would go dead last.
Any state that did not have a closed primary would lose half of its delegate count to the states which have closed primaries, and any state that went out of order would lose half of its remaining delegate count. Under either circumstance, states would stand to lose 3/4 of their delegates to the other states which follow the plan.
I guess I could go back to dreaming now, right?
