That's argueably worse then - what would have been an innocent, albeit enormously embarassing faux pas, becomes a deliberate smack, esp. considering how Sarko has been trying to reach Obama without any response from the latter.

It has been taken out of context, and it does not help Conservatives when they do this. This was a diplomatic faux pas, but not mistaken identity of the French president. Limbaugh does this type of thing all the time and it grates me no end. There is enough to get people worked up about without stretching the truth!
By the way, the letter was picked up on Thursday by Le Figaro, but our media is silent, as usual!
