It is coming. The GOP did nothing to block these bills?!?
Well, the House bill was pushed through very quickly last week. House Republicans did, for the most part, vote against it (except for the same RINOs that vote with the dems on all the other stuff). It’s just moving so fast, like the bailout packages, seems they can’t keep up. I guess everyone is focused on AIG while this other stuff is getting pushed through quickly and quietly.
WHen I called my Senators today, both Republicans, the aides answering the phones didn’t seem to know about this at all. They had heard of the original Senate version, but neither one seemed to know there was any kind of cloture vote coming up today. (Pardon me if I’m getting the wording wrong, I’m not an expert on Congress-speak ). I sent follow up emails to both after Joygrace sent me a link to the above wording. Who knows if they’ll see it and be there to vote.
