To: Mr Rogers
I don't believe we can "win" in Afghan until we know what win looks like. The history, geography, and some locals are against us.

The taliban has established a stronghold in Paki near the Afghan border.

I'm not a military strategist, but I don't see what victry looks like.

Do we have to double or triple our numbers, use more powerful weapons, take over part of Pakistan?

Who has the strategy and are we up for it?

When we went in we had 9/11 and the videos of the woman being shot in the stadium. We changed the government and it controls a lot of the country.

I thought when we went to the mountains it was to kill OS.

Now what's the goal? Kill all the Taliban?

The goal would be to turn it over to the Afghan Army, which is fairly well respected and tends to fight well when trained and armed.
