The full court press is just beginning, folks. If nothing stands in front of this train, it is going to happen, and happen soon.
I think that means cut and run.
In other words, The (Clueless) One has no idea what to do.
Is that before or after he surrenders?
Americans need an exit strategy from the Obama presidency as well. With at least as high a priority as the exit strategy from Afghanistan.
Comprehensive = leaving a Muslim country alone, appeasing its Radical leaders. In the case of comprehensive immigration reform, it means combining three countries with no border.
Dopey Changey is a “comprehensive” failure, already.
It makes one wonder.... (OK maybe not)
I thought the exit strategy was to find Osama Bin Laden.
Check the expiry date on that promise
Simple enough.
We Win.
What are we doing there at this time? Do we think we will catch Obama there or wipe out the Taliban? They have a whole region under their control in Paki, negotiated with the Paki government.
Given that we seem to be chasing them from rock to rock and we aren't going to nuke them. What would a win look like?
Translation. We don’t have the money to support the war. And we will still have 30 to 50 thousand troops in Iraq after the drawdown of “combat” troops.
So, who didn't see this coming?
I bet the Afghani people will sleep well tonight. Why would anyone ever trust us again?
MOre brilliant statements from Hussein’s teleprompter operators.
This is from the guy who just sent 15,000 troops over there and he’s already talking about an exit strategy? He also talked about an exit strategy before we won in Iraq. When he says that military force alone won’t assure victory what does he mean? Should we send social workers and “community organizers” to Afghanistan? Obama is clearly sending a message to our wartime enemies: “We don’t really mean it. Just give us an excuse to wave the white flag of surrender.”
TO ALL:
In his 1996 Declaration of War Against the Americans, Osama bin Laden cited the U.S. retreat from Somalia in 1993:
You have been disgraced by Allah and you withdrew. The extent of your impotence and weaknesses has become very clear. When people see a strong horse and a weak horse, by nature they will like the strong horse.
I don’t think leaving Afghanistan with our tail between our legs would send the ‘right’ message to our radical enemies.
STE=Q
Just a couple of weeks ago, Obama declared the war in Afghanistan was lost and that the military should do a better of job of reaching out the Taliban. This after approving the deployment of 17,000 additional troops to the area.
His position is that if the US isn't winning the war, then a reconciliation process should take place. This entails that the American military would reach out to moderate elements of the Taliban. That's what he said in his interview to The New York Times aboard Air Force One recently. I didn't know there were moderate terrorists out there - does this mean that they kill fewer people than extreme terrorists?
This naive world view can be conveyed with the adageif you can't beat them, join them. It is indeed preposterous, especially coming from the most powerful man in the world.
Obama's new slogan for wars should be: "The war is lost, so let's exit as fast as we can."
I’m more interested in an exit strategy that involves 0bama exiting the White House in 2012.
Otherwise the Afghanistan operation will always be equated to the Vietnam defeat, which too, was a capitulation by Congress.
