I don't think Biden is the American hating foreign groomed Marxist that the O man is. He's a run of the mill American grown liberal...

And McCain isn't?

Or do you still think that, despite his horrendous record of amnesties, bailouts, restrictions on the Constitution, and "running across the aisle" to help those liberal Democrats whom you so despise, McCain was some sort of hero, patriot, and dare I say, conservative?

The problem with McCain and the rest of the RINOs is that they would have inflicted even more damage on the conservative movement, on the Republican brand, and on America, as a whole. McCain would have given the Democrats political cover to pass even more crap than they already have, while taking all the blame.

McCain would have bought the Republicans just a little more time, time that they would have squandered just like they squandered their immense stores of post 9-11 political capital and opportunity to deliver on their promised conservative agenda. And then, Obama, or someone just like him, would have taken the reins anyway, because electing McCain would have been about as effective at restoring the American Republic as putting a Band-Aid on its punctured, gushing jugular.

Until the Republicans are willing to live up to their responsibility to actually treat that gushing wound in the neck of Columbia, rather than enlarging it, they can stay in time out where they belong.

Amen. I’m so glad McCain lost. We will not survive Obama, but McCain would have destroyed the conservative movement. He lost on purpose, however. It was his assignment to lose, and he carried it out perfectly.

PS, how about all the house Republicans that voted to tax back the AIG bonuses?

Cripes! I keep hearing the same mind-numbed drivel about Hillary too. "Oh, she's at least an American. Hillary would be a centrist. At least Hillary would have the stones to deal with (fill in American enemy here.)"

Crapola! She was studying with hardcore Marxists when 0bammy was still crapping his diapers. How it could possibly be better to have someone with sense enough to hide her agenda most of the time, someone with 12 years executive experience in Arkansas and 8 years in the WH. And, yes, she does share that experience with Bubba because they are a twofer.

American grown liberal my arse! Biden is one of the hard left Marxist types like so many Dems today. He's just too dumb to be effective at anything.

As for McCain; he's too dumb to tell you the difference between a liberal and a conservative. His compass is mounted on the dashboard with a magnet.

Thank you for explaining why you helped to put a Marxist in the Oval Office, Obama Girl.

Not nearly as bad as the epidemic of BDS, but the MDS virus is surely spreading...especially as some of the ‘carriers’ refuse to admit obama can and will do harm to this country that McCain would have never even thought of!

Inasmuch as I hate to admit it, FReepers (I'm assuming you're one of them) who did not vote for McCain because he wasn't conservative enough....might have been right.

I held my nose and voted McCain. I'm still not convinced that he wasn't the better candidate. However, he may not have been the *right* candidate for the next 2-4 years - if that makes any sense.

For instance, with the bailout bill, Congress would have started out at a trillion dollars, and McCain would have held out to sign it until they reduced the bill down to "only" 600 billion. And FReepers everywhere would rejoice - "Be Glad there's a conservative in the White House! Think how bad it MIGHT have been!" And so forth. The country would still be in dire straits, and the Dems would still have a Republican Candidate to put a face to the problems.

At least now, Republicans are a firewall, albeit an ineffective one. It's easy to take the high road, when the bar is set so low.
