Physician, heal thyself.
Rep. Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said he hopes to introduce legislation later this year to restructure government-backed mortgage investors Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Hey, Barney. Where the hell were you years ago, when change and reform at Fannie-Freddie MIGHT HAVE ACTUALLY MATTERED?
Oh, that's right. Here you were:
''These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis,'' said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. ''The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.'' So in other words, the eeeevil Republicans telling you that something needed to be done - YEARS AGO - and the eeeeevil Republicans trying to reform and restructure the institutions WERE RIGHT AND YOU WERE WRONG.

I can certainly understand why he might want to f*** Freddie, but I’m surprised he wants to repeat the dead with Fannie Mae.
This is like someone shooting you on purpose, then asking if they can assist in stopping the bleeding.
The fudge packer wiggle out of his incompetence.
“This is like someone shooting you on purpose, then asking if they can assist in stopping the bleeding.”
Or like the story my husband tells of the man who kills his parents and then throws himself on the mercy of the court because he’s an orphan.
Both ways make the point. Dems screw it up and then think they have the right to fix it.
Classic case of the fox in the hen house. This clown should be in jail.
No if,ands,or “butts”Barney Bugger will get to the “bottom”of this.
The way to fix the financial industry is to kick Frank’s butt out of the Chairman’s seat at the House Banking Committee.
Man. That would ruin his whole social life!
Isn’t there ANY competent Republican in his district who could run against Congressman Pooperscooper?
