When your enemies and the whack-jobs of the world start hailing you, you know you've gone seriously astray.
Damascus earlier this month that Syria can be an important and constructive force in the Middle East...
Is naivety contagious? Syria has a history, for decades, of being ruled by a bunch of thugs and is probably (now that Saddam Hussein is out of the picture) the most repressive regime in the Middle East.
