“George Bochetto, an attorney representing Cujdik, said the store owners’ allegations are false.”

He is a defense attorney. Of course he is going to say the allegations are false. If he didn't he would be disbarred for for gross incompetence. The truth will come out in court. There is physical evidence, and it will be pretty easy to see who is lying then.

In the mean time all the information we have is whats in the article. That information seems creditable given the facts of other police abuse cases, but even if 90% of the article is wrong, the fact that they would be handcuffed and arrested for selling zip lock bags is outrageous on it's own. That fact isn't disputed by anyone.

Why aren't the local grocery store owners also arrested? Are Glad bags outlawed? Are these people insane for arresting people for selling plastic bags?

There haven't been any charges filed against the officers. Ask someone to read the article to you.
