I wonder the same thing not only about Venezuela but the US also. Hussein and Pelosi/Reid Congress has the exact same intentions. Where is the freakin outrage!
I worked dierctly for DHS for 4 years. Yep! No idea!
Snipers wanted.
Why it is directed at those "evil, greedy rich people" who have the audacity to accept bonus money that their companies contractually promised to pay to them.
Chavez is hurrying to get done before....you know who...
Many who COULD have left the country. There are those who resist, but do so at their peril.
Venezuelans are broke and angry. That is not a great combination. I have good reason to think that some within the military are very unhappy. Chavez has to be scared.
I have been doing business with these folks for years....the women are beautiful but the men are soft..one reason acne face has been able to seize power....they may have a big army supplied by the Russians but they aren't going anywhere....especially into Columbia.......but the bad news is nobody has the stones to shoot the bastard.....in fact. friends of mine down there used to ask me "when is Bush going to invade and rid us of Chavez" !...Go figure!
The only people who matter are the ones who are willing to fight for what they want. And I do not mean "verbal argument" when I say fight.
There are more underclass in Venezuela and Zimbabwe willing to fight for loot, than there are middle class people willing to fight against being looted.
This is, by now, a very old story.
It won’t be any different here, in terms of numbers - but - in our case the remnant will be well-armed.
His economy can only get worse. I feel sorry for those who are good people and who have to deal with this. Like Hitler...he has a lot of thugs around him. We shouldn’t forget, though, that the Venezuelans are very creative and often find ways to protest and/or resist that are effective enough to keep them hanging in there. ;-)
i was in a store and they had CNN on. Incredibly creepy all AIG bonues. CNN appears to almost always have light skinned young black male hosts on these shows and it looks most like Nation of Islam Farrakhan rally then a objective news show. Obama clones yelling like Olberman and Chrissy Matthews or some third reich rabble rousers.
It is “evil AIG and capitalists” but it is very close to evil “whitey.” The while AIG thing is a smokescreen to cover up what a disaster and marxist O is.
This is going to get ugly fast.
Becuase Hussein 0bama and the cowards in congress have deemed it. Doesn't matter that they approved the bonuses and it was written into a contract. All that matters is public perception and outrage. Once the public cried foul, Hussein went into damage control by pumping up Leno's ratings. MSM doesn't report that Hussein and congress approved the bonuses. Only the outrage to it.
I posted on Venezuela, Chavez and an attempt to “cap” the Castros. Here is the link and some of the story, which is still developing:
Newsweek: Chavez, Perez Roque and Lage were involved in a plot against Raul
March 16 - In an article in Newsweek, former Mexican foreign Jorge Castañeda writes that Carlos Lage and Felipe Perez Roque were purged by Raul Castro because they were part of a conspiracy to unseat him.
According to Castañeda, Hugo Chávez was also part of the plot: “There are solid reasons to believe that something along the following lines took place: for at least a month or so, Lage, Pérez Roque and others were apparently involved in a conspiracy, betrayal, coup or whatever term one prefers, to overthrow or displace Raúl from his position. In this endeavor, they recruitedor were recruited byVenezuela’s Hugo Chávez, who in turn tried to enlist the support of other Latin American leaders, starting with Leonel Fernández of the Dominican Republic, who refused to get involved.
Their reasons for wishing to unseat Rául were mainly turf and power, but they also feared that the leader was beginning to feel threatened by the reaction of the Cuban people to excessive economic and social deprivation, and after his brother’s demise would be unable to control the flow of events. Consequently, he would accept a series of economic and political reforms to normalize relations with the United States, knowing full well that therein lay the only option for immediate improvement in Cubans’ lives. They believed this to be a betrayal of the revolution, and the beginning of the end of its survival.” Newsweek
Well armed and well stocked. At least those of us who see it coming.
I know. I just hope I have enough time left to complete my get otta dodge plan and head for lower lattitudes. We are heading for totalitarian control.
Ahhh yes, it gets even more interesting and this would not surprise me a bit. The majority of Colombians have no love for Chavez either....for OBVIOUS reasons. Several other Latin American countries have noticed his will to dominate....and don’t like it.
