Obama has "some explaining to do," [Maxine] Waters says

California Rep. Maxine Waters, who has her own trouble last week, told a radio show today that President Obama and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner have been clear as miso soup when it comes to AIG.

Waters, speaking on Joe and Mika's radio show:

"Well, you know, they've got some explaining to do and I think the president is going to have to clarify to the American public what took place between Treasury and Mr. Dodd. Obviously there was, appears to have been, some kind of agreement that they would protect the AIG from having to give those bonuses. I don't know who said what and when. Chris Dodd said he wrote the language but that he was pressured practically by Treasury. Maybe the president is not up to speed on what is going on. But I think it is going to have to be clarified."

Looks like some RATS might be thinking about jumping off USS Obama, and throwing Dodd under the bus on the way. Link has a video clip of Maxine later yesterday on MSNBC backpedalling and trying to say that Obama wasn't "given the information in a timely fasion".

Yeah, sure. Don't give me that "wasn't given the information in a timely fasion" crap. There is frankly no excuse for the tremendous ineptitude with which the Obama administration and the Democrats in Congress are handling America's economy.
