Agree with your statement in 41. “only a fool says there is no god”. unfortunately, unlike your atribution, that is not what i said. This is the level of debate from fundamentalists/creationists. You guys can’t debate honestly. Its laughable. Honest question....how old do you think the earth is?

In response to my paraphrased bible quote “Only a fool says there is no God”, apart from simply agreeing with it, you further stated “Only a fool says the world is 6500 yrs. old.”

I attribute to you exactly what you said, and I said one is a biblical truth, and the other is your personal belief.

And screw your charge of not ‘debating honestly’. I’m being totally honest and open as to my thoughts about what you said. There are no tricks here. I think you’re projecting yourself here. I will be clear, if you don’t think I was. Your statement was not equal in scope to what I quoted from the bible. It is not equal in terms of its effect on a person’s salvation (in other words one is VERY relevant to a person’s salvation, and one is essentially immaterial), and it is not equal in terms of being supported by the Word of God.

I don’t know why you think that is being tricky or not debating honestly. I guess I didn’t give you the response you had wanted me to give you. It is apparent you were fishing for something else after you finally ask a question you never asked, but complained I didn’t answer.

I believe the earth is a lot younger than it is older. God did not create life to evolve through a process of pain and death. Death did not come into the world but by man’s sin, as the Bible explains. There was no millions of years of evolution’s ‘survival of the luckiest/fittest’ progress through death, that somehow man evolved into a sentient-enough creature God finally decided to reveal Himself to.

To believe that is to reject the biblical account of creation. If you believe that is wrong, why believe anything else in the Bible. Why believe the miracles? Why believe Jesus’ death did anything for you? Other people have made logical arguments as to why not to believe that it really happened the way it is described, so why not believe them?
