The NT apostles didn't name their 'books'...They were letters to different churches and groups...And Peter referenced Paul's BOOKS...

The scriptures were written, carried around, copied and distrubuted by the apostles...And they may have been catholic (if you want to translate into Latin) but they certainly were not Catholic...

YES the separate animal skin, vellum or ancient manuscript forms of the several Letters and Books existed at the time, but they were NOT a “New Testament” until the Catholic Church created the New Testament, keeping out the Heretical works and Canonizing those that the Chruch found to be Canonical.
Nobody who has EVER been involved in the translation of the Protestant versions has ever done so without, also, consulting the Catholic versions.

The Bible is the creation of the Catholic Church, inspired by God.
Until the various councils of the Catholic Church created the Bible, all we had was a few, scattered, separate manuscripts. It was rare to have all of those manuscripts in the same place, at the same time.
