Are you telling me that today's voluntary members of the USAF are, mentally speaking, no different than the draftees in the 1860s? Who defines “foreign and domestic” enemies during a conflict or even before a conflict begins? Who commands the US Military?
The federal government. Does that mean the federal government can never be one of the "enemies" against whom the USAF is to protect us?
