You're just thossing out names like Stalin and the PRC with no logical reason (although maybe you don't believe in logic--it does seem like one of those evil Enlightenment values), hoping that somehow you can tar democracy by association when no association exists.
USSR had "elections". They were "free". Just ask 'em ...
Communism is and was completely a product of the so-called enlightenment. PRC and USSR came into being as the result of communist revolutions.
