Her comments demonstrate that the only racism she experienced came from the black community. She was taunted for not speaking ebonically. She felt that the student at the University were not interested in her.
As Michelle 0 discovered, however, she was NEVER discriminated against by white people, only black people. Of course she wants us to understand that whites are to blame for black racists.

She might very well think that, but she didn’t say that on this occasion. If you read the whole article, it seems clear that her message was, “People say stupid things, so don’t listen. Just ignore them, do well in school, and stay out of trouble.” It’s a good message.
Sheesh, I can’t believe I’m spending time defending Michelle, but I just think it’s overkill when we jump on every little thing these people do. As far as I can tell from the article, she did nothing wrong here.
