That infomercial about service has been played on TV on just about every station, cable or regular TV, for days on end now. This guy Obama thinks he’s a great poetical speaker. Actually, the service announcement sounds stupid, melodramatic, narcissistic via the spoken word, and I am so sick of hearing it over and over, day and nite, hour after hour, that I could toss my cookies. It is on endlessly. I can’t stand the sound of his voice anymore, not that I ever could. I almost hope he continues to play it here as my relatives who live in the area are equally sick of it, and so, I imagine, are many others. It is a daily turnoff, so in that sense it is a good thing, as it makes one more disgusted with Obama than one already is.
Hildy, while you were away, the ABC Radio news led with it (and NOT in complimentary terms) for three hours, and even Olbermann wrung his hands about what Obama might do to rectify the gaffe.
