He garnered the majority of Catholic votes in the 2008 election, but a number of Catholic groups now say President Obama is showing a complete lack of regard for their beliefs. They count his decisions to lift restrictions on abortion and stem cell research among the most offensive. "As far as the Catholic church goes, there's no bigger priority for Catholics than human dignity and human life," said Cathy Ruse, senior fellow at the Family Research Council said. "And the Obama administration has just been an assault on those values again and again in just two months."

Whatever...
***I have already said that your words hurt only you. They provide a window to your soul:
...rosary-rattling retards...***
Which sewer did your new friend crawl out from? I suppose that he is a proud product of the NEA.
***My (admittedly limited) experience with catholics is they are quite liberal both in their pulpits and in their ideology.***
Sadly, that is not Catholicism. If you like, I can show you the Catechism in an effort to prove to you what and who we are.
THank you for your kind offer but I know quite a bit about the doctrines of the catholic church. No offense, but your tag line says it all.
Most (not all) catholics I know feel the social gospel trumps all other concerns. I feel this is misguided as are some of the doctrinal differences I have with the catholic church.
However, those in the catholic church that are washed in the Blood of Christ and look to Him alone for salvation are my brothers and sisters no matter what our differences in doctrine are.

The vast majority of the children of the Reformation do not know where that quote is from. It is from St. Augustine, the very font that inebriates many of them. St. Augustine is as misunderstood as was St. Paul before him.

With respect, the social gospel and revolution theology and guitar Masses and Wiccan nuns is only held as paramount by a receding generation of 60s activists.

Jesus created His Church which was commissioned by the Holy Spirit at Pentecost in order to create and teach the doctrine. I would caution everyone who would believe that any number of man made churches are equivalent to His Church that they are also following man made doctrines.
We have to agree to disagree. I find some of the doctrines of the catholic church heretical as you no doubt do not like my doctrine. However, I don’t feel that if you do not follow my doctrine you are in danger of damnation. If you are washed by the Blood of Christ and look to His finished work on the Cross and that alone for your salvation, you are saved. The rest can be argued and will be. But I do not wish to start a war over what I think is right and wrong with the catholic church.
***I find some of the doctrines of the catholic church heretical as you no doubt do not like my doctrine.***
I have no idea what your doctrine consists of. And I would find it interesting to understand your understanding of ‘heretical’ and the authority to declare heresy.
***However, I dont feel that if you do not follow my doctrine you are in danger of damnation.***
Moral and doctrinal equivalency? Jesus left one Church and one Truth. I would agree to disagree with you on this point certainly.
I tried to tell people before the election that Obama voted against the ‘Born Alive Protection Act,’ but one Catholic couple I know voted for him anyway.
Of course the mainstream media tried to keep this quiet, and my own brother didn’t want to believe this.
That story about the ‘Born Alive Protection Act’ tells you all you need to know about Obama.
“Moral and doctrinal equivalency? Jesus left one Church and one Truth. I would agree to disagree with you on this point certainly.”
The true Church are the large company of blood washed, sin confessed, water and spirit baptized believers who exist in all protestant and catholic churches across all time and space(including those Hebrews of the OT era whose faith was counted as righteousness) whose names are found in the Lamb’s book of Life. All nay sayer’s of each other’s doctrinal beliefs need to gulp hard before they declare whose “church” is the true “church”!
Jesus left one true Church, and I am sorry to inform you that is not the catholic church. It is the body of believers who have been saved by Him and Him alone.
My authority to declare heresy is that of any believer. When I compare doctrine of any church to Gods word, and there is a difference, it is the doctrine, not God;s word that is deficient.
I didn’t want to start this, but you want to push it. Heresies such as the worship of Mary, the authority of popes, praying to the saints, the sinless birth of Mary, purgatory, indulgences, placing the tradition of the church on a equal footing as Scripture, etc. When you can back any of these up with Scripture, I’ll listen. Until then they are heresies, or your favorite word - anathema. I could go on but you get the idea.
Your spelling/capitalization needs some work. The term is "the Catholic Church."
I agree whole heartedly. The only requirement to be part of the body of Christ is to washed by His blood and look to His finished work on the Cross for salvation. For the rest we try to be as faithful to God’s word as we can, but all of us see through a glass darkly. Some day we all will know, and there will be no differences in doctrine on that glorious day.
I can’t wait

The one He founded: the Catholic Church.
When you can back this up with the need to "back this up with Scripture," I'll listen.
Sola scriptura is a base tradition of men.
The Roman Catholic Church is not the one true church. The only Church founded by Christ was the catholic church of all believers.
You should explain how this differs with the teachings of Church founded by Christ: the Catholic Church.
Agreed!
The only Word I have from God is that present in the Scriptures. Paul himself states that we should be Bereans - comparing any new teaching to Scripture to assess its validity.
I will stand on the Word of God - anything else is a tradition of man, and therefore sinful and suspect. If you believe in any whim not backed by Scripture, that is your business.
No. I said the catholic Church - little c. The Roman Catholic Church was no more founded by Christ than any other church that bears His name, and has no more insight or authority than any other church that bears His name. Nice try.
All Catholics by definition should be offended by Bambi and his people are dispensible attitude
