Don’t forget what happened to Trent Lott when he tried to humor his old pal Strom Thurmond at the old guy’s birthday party. The Dems wouldn’t let it go and, sad to say, the GOP obliged them by throwing Lott under the bus.
I didn’t care much for Lott, but the feigned outrage over his comment was sickening.
