"It is a scientific fact that the AIDs virus is so small it can easily move through the wall of a condom." That is absolute unequivocal rubbish. An animal skin condom perhaps, but absolutely not a latex condom.
As for this Pope, he's certainly no John Paul, but everyone knew that going in. He's effective enough.

That is absolute unequivocal rubbish. An animal skin condom perhaps, but absolutely not a latex condom. What's the breakage rate on condoms? Multiply that by the frequency of sex and you soon find yourself having unprotected sex.
Where have condoms been shown to reduce AIDS? Certainly not in Africa.

Much as I love John Paul II, I’m glad there will be no Koran-kissing by this Pope.

That is absolute unequivocal rubbish. An animal skin condom perhaps, but absolutely not a latex condom. Perhaps not a high quality latex condom. What sort do you think get sold in Third World countries?

According to
CDC research, consistent use of high-quality condoms reduce your probability of getting infected by an HIV+ partner by a factor of 6. This is a good thing.
But what if using condoms results in a sense of false confidence that you can engage in risk-free sex with anybody, with the result that people engage in much more sex with risky partners (eg druggie prostitutes)? Play Russian Roulette enough times, and you inevitably lose.

I stand corrected, the AIDs virus cannot pass through the wall of a latex condom. I didn’t know that.

I am not quite sure that I understand the context of your comment that BVXI is no JPII. I think perhaps that each one was right for his time. JPII fought against the Soviets and BVXI is trying to implement the true intent of Second Vatican Council. Frankly, I think BVXI has the harder task of exhausting Satan’s smoke from the sacristy.
