Having read further through the thread than I had when I posted, I found much of what I wanted to know, reported on in later posts. But yes. such an obvious apparent violation of the Act, seems like it should have garnered much more national coverage than it has so far. Thinking on the matter, I could see how a police cheif might have been ignorant of the Posse Comitatus Act, but I find it harder to fathom that a military command officer, would be unaware of it. I am willing to acceppt that this was an unintentional violation, based on exigent circumstances and under-educated persons of authority, but it should be used as a national teaching point.

The abbreviation is USSS (United States Secret Service). The secret service are, for the most part, good folks.

Wish I could find a crafty way of making that into a bumper sticker....JUST SAY NO, with the Obama “o”. Or perhaps the spanish version to “Yes, we can”... instead, make it “No WE won’t”, with the Obama “o”. LOL...I do like the one on site you found that on that says “OOPS”.

Wonder if that “o” is trademarked or licensed.

No doubt, at this point in time they are.

The problem is that for the short time O has been in office, many alarming things have been happening that give one pause to wonder. It could all turn on us one day. Sorry to be so negative, but I don’t see much good coming out of this administration.

I’ve seen this picture before... and I wondered... how many of them were still alive in 1945?

Soon such complaints will be responded to Obama’s new "Civilian Security Force" aka ACORN.

I agree. However, there comes a point when citizens need to confront the secret service and ask them if they are willing to take a bullet for a man who is systematically destroying our republic. Ask them if they want their children living under a totalitarian regime and see what the response is. I have a son-in-law who is a federal agent in diplomatic security for the state department. I know what his answer is.

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

perhaps adhering to enemies and giving them Aid and Comfort.

Just wait until Obama gets his version of theKGB/secret police, or whatever going.

If you don't think he'll get that far, just look back at what he has done already in about two months!

the United States Code at 18 U.S.C. § 2381 states “whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.”

perhaps this is what alarmed the SS.

That is where there was a mass killing of people, I believe some 11. And some military apparently where called to help patrol the city along with police. I did not dwell on that news so do not have the details.

I looked at the column. There is no threat explicit or implicit. This is, indeed, an ominous development.
