Bailed Out Bank Of America Paying Consumers To See Hollywood Film (Our Wasted Money)
Deadline Hollywood Daily ^ | 3-19-09 | Nikki Finke

But why in the world are American taxpayers helping foot the bill to promote a big-budget 3-D DreamWorks Animation movie? Well, it appears the reason is because the president of the Jeffrey Katzenberg-led Hollywood animation studio just happens to be Bank of America's former Vice Chairman and CFO. It took respected media analyst Rich Greenfield of Pali Research to uncover this staggering scheme (registration required). He found out that Bank of America was helping families to see Monsters vs Aliens in 3-D rather than 2-D at no additional cost when it starts playing in theaters on Friday, March 27th. And at the same time helping out the box office grosses of Katzenberg's DreamWorks Animation, a publicly traded company

It’s OK as long as at least 10% of the money goes to minorities.

Wait a minute. If I read this correctly, this is not money going to Bank of America people, it’s Bank of America sponsoring a showing of the movies for underprivileged families.

I guess if you get bailout money, you can’t advertise or do anything positive anymore. Maybe they should just take their money and give it away to the same idiots who couldn’t pay their mortgages in the FIRST place which got them into this mess.

And, trust me, Lew Coleman is not a bright and shining name in the annals of Bank of America history!

I am, Bank of America has been quite good to me. All this smearing and slander from supposed conservatives turns my stomach. I expect it from the commie left, now I get it 24-7 from both parties. It is craven idiocy and makes the entire political class beneath contempt.

It gives a cheap thrill to poor viewing customer while the working class pays for it through the bail out money which goes right into Jeff Katzenberg’s pocket.

I remember when I was skiing in Deer Valley Utah and I skied pass Katzenberg’s ski home in the 90’s. He was hosting Bill Clinton and Al Gore at his ski home and making deals back then. Tipper was skiing earlier on the slopes and the instructors said she was such a snob. I think she thought she was a Jewish american princess but absent of being jewish! Anyway this is where the tax payers money goes. Charlie Gibson has a ski home just up the road from Katzenberg. Just an example of the relationships of these Democrats and who hangs with whom and who expects something from the other.
I believe Obama will turn on Katzenberg. Watch and see!

“All this smearing and slander from supposed conservatives turns my stomach.”

Yea...well, if your amigo bank is so damn “good” then why do they have to borrow money from people who don't even have accounts there LIKE ME!

Your Bank of Amigo shouldn't have been making loans to illegals and others who couldn't pay them back.

And if your stomach is “turning”, that's just too damn bad!
You loan them the money they need to stay afloat and keep me and every other taxpayer out of it!

Class Dismissed!

Your forgetting that the banks were forced by congress to make these loans. By Congressman like Dodd, Frank, etc.

Also I believe the states and banks are basically being forced to take the bailout money currently. I mean Northern Trust did not want it but was forced and then when they went to entertain their customers the Govenment made such a stink about it that Northern Trust said stuff it take the money back. We did not want it in the first place, didn't need it. Take the money back and do not tell us how to run our bank!

“Your forgetting that the banks were forced by congress to make these loans”

BRAVO SIERRA

There are over 8000 banks in America and we’re talking about approximately 400 banks.

And before I leave you, Bank of Amigo bent over backwards to cater to the Hispanic trade in CA whether they were here legal or not...from allowing them to open accounts without legal ID, to purchasing vehicles & homes that BofA KNEW they couldn't afford! So don't try and tell me about what was going on because I saw it right down the street from my house and EVERYONE in CA KNEW what BofA was up to!

Hey the banks were just doing what Congress told them to do. If you voted for the likes of Dodd, Frank, etc. then you can look up and down your street till the chickens come home to roost, the sub-prime mortgage debacle falls at the feet of your congressman. Banks were strong armed and harassed, there families were threatend by the likes of ACORN which are Obama's gang of thugs to make these loans or suffer the consequences!

“Hey the banks were just doing what Congress told them to do?”

I hate repeating myself but there are/were over SEVEN THOUSAND BANKS THAT DIDN’T “do what Congress told them to do.”

Good day!

Once again the banks were pressured by Congress, Dodd, Barney Frank, etc. to loan money to low income minorities. These banks were in heavily minority areas not in Beverly Hills, Palm Springs, Palm Beach, etc. These banks were in heavily minority areas and were pressured to make sub-prime mortgages to minorities. Obama’s thugs, “ACORN”, were strong arming these banks to loan to minorities! Not every single bank in the country was strong armed. Nebraska, Utah, Iowa, etc. were probably not pressured. They were not susceptible to government interference!

The banks succumbed to the pressure of the Government when the pressure was put on them but not every bank in the country was pressured or singled out by the government. This is why your SEVEN THOUSAND BANKS were able to escape government pressure! They just so happen to be in the right place!

Aslo some of these banks were already on the Gov. Tit and had marching orders to do what the gov. ordered.
