I assume then that “The Rest of the Story” will not continue, other than possibly in reruns...no one other than Paul’s son ever substituted for him on that show.

"not the most...conservative"

He also thought the Iraq war was for oil. That is not the belief of a true conservative. I doubt he was a radical leftist, but maybe he was shifting leftwards in his latter years.

"pull off a win"

Then why was McCain leading Obama in the polls in September right before the financial crisis? After that shock, McCain fell behind and never recovered. Obama won by seven million votes many of them due to the panic that followed the September fiasco. I doubt they were all hard-core Obamaists but were convinced by the lies of Big Media that the Republicans solely caused the crisis. Without the September shock, the prez race would have been a lot closer, and McCain might have even won.

The rest of the story.

Too bad that Romney (GOP Backstabber) and his Team Romney (GOP Backstabbers mostly)
put Obama into the Oval Office, instead of helping America and the GOP.

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Similar to Romney's other scortched earth tactics:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

Now we see the Huckster, one of the two most important Republicans responsible for electing The Usurper.

Yes, that is my understanding.

I see you still lack basic commonsense. LOL

Anyone who thinks Obama is President and not Romney based on some empty headed opinion about Huckabee's flawed campaign strategy, isn't playing with a full deck. And if the choice was between an unprincipled, two-faced liberal Republican like Romney and a hardcore liberal Democrat like Obama, I'll pass on both.

The “fix” was in long before it came to the surface. Doesn’t matter if the Pub candidate had been McLame, Romney, Huckabee, or anyone else - The dems had a plan, aided by their big-buck supporters and market manipulators.

And let me share a little secret with you... The Republicans may not have been soley responsible for the market meltdown, they did nothing over the course of their control of two branches of government to prevent it. Our current financial collapse is the product of decades of irresponsible government, irresponsible monetary policy, and a corrupt system known as the Federal Reserve.

And notice how hard McCain and the Republicans tried to fight taking the blame...oh... what fight? Nevermind.

We got cocky. We said there was no way Obama could win. Someone from Islamic descent, with likely active ties still to Islam, from a radical racist-preaching “church”, with radical unrepentant terrorist friends, with a lackluster record in the Senate, couldn’t possibly win the election. And when he beat Hillary in the primary, we still overlooked him. And the Republicans “hail Mary” pass in the 4th quarter by picking Palin just wasn’t enough. Of course, when the game officials are paid off (think welfare, bailout, socialist leeches at all levels), we shouldn’t be surprised.

It will be brother huck's show, NOT Paul Harveys.

The Huckster never had an original quote, joke or punch line to his own name.

I won't be listening.

Yes we need the father of bailouts and Republican Socialized medicine. Really? Romney was proposing billions in bailouts to Detroit during the primary season long before September.

No thank you.

Romney was never accepted as credible by any large portion of Republicans. He only won in his home states of Utah, Michigan and Massachusetts and had to promise more government money to do that.
