Not quite true, I believe Olympia Snowe was on the conference committee and voted for the stimulus both in committee and on the floor of the senate. She and her other Maine colleague as well as Pennsylvania's Specter voted for the stimulus on final passage. I believe they were the only so-called republicans in the entire congress who voted for the stimulus in committee and/or for final passage. This, of course, was the same bill that not a single member of Congress read before voting on same.
