WASHINGTON (AP) For a while, the disappearance of an executive bonus restriction from last month's economic stimulus looked like sleight of hand worthy of a Las Vegas stage. No one could explain how the provision faded into thin air. On Wednesday, Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., acknowledged that his staff agreed to dilute the executive pay provision that would have applied retroactively to recipients of federal aid.
Dodd, the chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, told CNN that the request came from Obama administration officials whom he did not identify.

Pretty much same overall story as the one in breaking but its from AP carrying the Administration sought bonus limit revision headline that is incredibly newsworthy if you follow how games are played in headline writing. The fact they picked THAT headline speaks volumes.

Intentionally confusing and mind-numbing language.
More MSM games.

The frantic tap-dancing is only turning the burner up under Dodd. Every story on this matter breaking over this past hour mentions the AIG donations Chris got.
And I don’t think this is going to go away just yet.
Look for more frantic recriminations back-and-forth.
And for Pete’s sake, let a few pubbies remind the public that this isn’t their tar baby.

Check out the swell AP map which informs us just where Washington D.C. is . . .

I think Dodd should receive the Biden Gaffe du Jour Award before Obamas goons shut him up.

The Obama administration has been caught in a huge lie. Yep. Just imagine if this were a REPUBLICAN administration everyone would be howling for impeachment proceedings.

The Obama administration has been caught in a huge lie. Yes. But we should make sure that we don't get distracted by this minor detail, and miss the big issue.
Where did the other 99.9% of the money go?

Isn’t this the bill that removed bi-partisan debate and the same bill that nobody claimed they had read. If so its all on bambi.

I’m sure Dodd and the Administration will reach an agreement soon, that this was all either Rush Limbaugh or George W. Bush’s fault...

I remember a video put on air by Fox when Kashkari gave a speech to the bankers and told them the bonuses would not be a problem. It would blow ower. This was way back in September or October 2008.

That's an entirely different issue. It went into a company that made some stupid mistakes, I think everyone knows that.
The Obama AIG cover up issue raises the fact of the President openly lying and misleading the American public.
Bonusgate needs to grow legs.

Wouldn’t have anything to do with Zero getting that nice campaign contribution from AIG? Change you can believe in all right.
