Greg Gutfeld takes the challenge: Can Fox produce a show that anticipates a SNL parody of Fox? The panel discusses the question: should the US invade Canada and produces something almost as hilarious as the old Half Hour News Hour.
UPDATE:
The clip in question is a sequence of goofs about the feebleness, uselessness and absurdity of the Canadian Armed Forces. Why would I call that dumb? Here's why, courtesy of CanWest News. Sorry I disrespected your show, RedEye fans - but you disrespected the dead. --David Frum

> Canada is a weak and pathetic country that has a small number of good people.
As a Canadian and Fellow Sheepdog, I take exception to that. In Canada the lunatics may be running the asylum, but that does not give you license to bad-mouth my country.
In the same way, the fact that the lunatics are running your asylum does not give me or any other Canadian license to bad-mouth America. And my posting record will prove that I don’t — quite the opposite, in fact.
Your remark was immoderate and I humbly suggest you take it back.
God Bless America

A fair debate based on facts.
Does that work for you?
I see now now why you pinged a bunch of people.
Thank you FRiend.
:-)
Why do you think I did it?
I did it because I think it's better that you work with the facts. Facts will never fail you.
Have a good night anse112.
Read posts 46 and 57. I know what I was saying, Canada is a weak and pathetic country and always has been. It was when the more cowardly members of my (by that late date quite extended) family fled to Canada to flee American independence.
I support the Canadian soldier and especially the Airborne.
What prompted me to join the Canadian Airborne Forces Association in 1995 was to show support for the Airborne Regiment that the cowardly Canadian government had just disbanded because of Somalia.
Let me guess you are female and don’t know a lot about this topic.
For crying out loud I just saw you are a New Zealander.
Hell, my family helped create Canada, they were on both sides of that border before the United States even existed.
Which topic ansel12?
You just want to fight.
How tiresome.
We are discussing an article about a US TV show dissing Canadian contributions to the War on Terror.
Exactly what my genitals have to do with the subject eludes me, but it must make sense in your mind, somehow.
Feh.
> For crying out loud I just saw you are a New Zealander.
I should perhaps explain. I am a New Zealander by naturalization, during which process I retained both my Canadian citizenship (by birth) and my British citizenship (by heritage).
As a result I get to be fiercely Patriotic about three great Nations — which gives me three times the amount of hard work that the average American Patriot gets to do, and which rewards me with three passports and the God-given right to live and work nearly anywhere in the Free World.
What time I have left over I spend supporting our close allies, the Americans, Australians and Turks (ANZACs would understand the latter).
“We are discussing an article about a US TV show dissing Canadian contributions to the War on Terror.”
I like the show, they are conservatives for the better informed young crowd and your David Frum is not exactly a conservative star.
They were dissing the weak cowardly government policies of the Canadian Government.
Which is exactly what I was doing when I joined the CAFA, it was to support those too few men that make up the small Canadian military
The bone headed Canadians had just done something stupid and embarrassing, they disbanded their elite Canadian Airborne Regiment because of a small incident in Somalia.
Now they are taking about shutting down their entire military for a year. Like I said it is a pathetic country that can even think of such a thing.
I used to spend a lot of time with your British SAS and vice versa and you can clearly see my feelings for the Canadian Airborne, while I know New Zealand has some good military and supported us in Vietnam I hope they aren’t as liberal as they used to be.
> Read posts 46 and 57. I know what I was saying, Canada is a weak and pathetic country and always has been.
You surely don’t mean that.
Canada has paid the Butcher’s Bill in WW-I, and in WW-II in great big bleeding batches (and unlike the US fought throughout both wars and not just at the end), and in Korea and in nearly every UN Peacekeeping conflict since the Second World War.
The Victoria Cross — which is the world’s most coveted and elite medal for Valor — has been awarded to no fewer than 94 Canadians.
It was Canadian UN Peacekeeping troops under General Lewis Mackenzie who first entered Sarejevo back when the bullets were flying.
And certainly in the War on Terror Canadian troops have done their fair share of fighting and dying in a war they would have otherwise have no reason to fight — except that they are loyal and faithful allies of the United States.
Your disrespect and ingratitude for America’s best and most puissant ally doesn’t do you any credit at all. For shame.
Meaning that I hope the people and Government isn’t as liberal as they used to be, I didn’t mean the military.
I imagine your military are in the same boat as the small Canadian military.
Good luck Die Hard.
Some nuts are hard to crack.
Have a great day.

I know my Canadian military history and I still don’t think much of their country.
I am the same way about France, how many people want to talk about the French here?
Is everyone going to get disgusted and shocked if someone says that they admire the French soldier but thinks that their country is weak and pathetic? (although stronger than Canada of course)
> I used to spend a lot of time with your British SAS and vice versa and you can clearly see my feelings for the Canadian Airborne, while I know New Zealand has some good military and supported us in Vietnam I hope they arent as liberal as they used to be.
New Zealand has a love/hate relationship with being Liberal — we are currently in a “Conservative” frame of mind, with the casting out of Helen Clark and her dreadful crew of Labor harpies.
“Liberal” and “Conservative” takes on a whole different meaning here in New Zealand to what you might be used to in the US. For example, our liberals were responsible for beginning the free market reforms, and just this week our conservatives were responsible for nationalizing all new roading and rail infrastructure.
And all New Zealanders support nationalizd medicare — particularly as we can suppliment the excellent socialized medical services with private arrangements.
It’s almost as if our politics occupy a different slice of the political spectrum to the US.
I took a measure of them when they wouldn’t allow our nuclear ships in.
Red Eye rocks!
I always end up waking up at 3 AM for no godd reason! ;^)
