People did not flee to Canada during the Revolution to avoid fighting. It was after the Revolution, when their property was confiscated, that Loyalists went to Halifax, and from there, some went to London. What were they to do? They lost everything, and British soil was the only place they were welcome.
Don't confuse that with the Vietnam draft evaders. The circumstances were not even remotely alike.
Canadian wings cool, I lucked out and picked up German jump wings, which as a student of WWII and having a dad that fought in the war, I thought was a little surreal, especially since the aircraft were still Luftwaffe.
People fled before, during and after the war, my family had members that chose to abandon America’s future promise and choose Canada during that time.
In general the American attitude was good riddance to our losers.

It is clear that you don’t have the foggiest notion about anything going on in relation to the show or the subject they were talking about. You keep pinging men in the hopes that they will handle the discussion while you bark occasionally.

You said the subject was the Canadian Military shutting down for a year, and asked why it wasn’t being discussed, if you remember.

I think most conservatives share the view that Frum is a waste of time and that there was nothing wrong with the show.
In other words much ado about nothing.
I think the thread poster might be surprised to see so many Frum supporters crawl out of the woodwork of this conservative site to take up Frums cause and it looks like most of them did not even bother to watch the video they are attacking.
You know, what the subject is on the show segment that you watched and that your man David Frum didn’t like.

All I saw was 5 amateur comedians insult comedy , with a twisting of what the Canadian Forces intend to do , in an pathetic attempt at being funny.
The real dumb thing is that this crap for comedy is actually , apparently , appreciated by an American audience.
