It's obviously an 'open communion' church, and they pass the communion on trays. Church of Christ and some Baptists communicate this way, and I think I was once in a Presbyterian church with the trays.

They don't believe it's the Body and Blood of Our Lord, so it isn't sacrilege. But I'm not sure why he would be participating in any Christian communion ceremony if he was Jewish.

He may have converted to Christianity as Ann Coulter may have evangelized him.

What “they” believe or don’t believe doesn’t enter into it. The host is considered the body of Christ by the congregation and Silver should have shown respect for their belief in their house.
