One question...if the people of NH are so concerned about their rights and freedom, WHY did Obama carry their state and why do Democrats keep getting elected in their state government?

It appears the train has already left the station. I’ll have some where to move when the wheels come off.

The first Lincoln brought the nation together.

The second “Lincoln” will tear it apart.

It will likely also keep other states like South Carolina from doing more than stomping their feet in dissatisfaction.

Hopefully not; whereas we DO NOT want war (especially between Americans), we would like peaceful resolution, but not at the cost of our liberty (and constitutional rights already granted), lets pursue this peacefully (and let the Feds be the agressor as they always are, but prepare to DEFEND ourselves, communities, neighbors, states if necessary)!

The signal-to-noise ratio seems to be dwindling again on FR...

Is it conservative to be both ignorant and highly opinionated?

Honest Abe didn’t destroy our Republic?
And Yes Lincoln #2 is just as bad
Lincoln said: “ ... in saving the union, I have destroyed the Republic. Before me I have the Confederacy, which I loath. *But behind me I have the bankers, which I fear

The first Lincoln was an authentic American, the second Lincoln refuses to even discuss the question of his citizenship.

You didn't say anything about Lincoln destroying the Republic in the post I responded to.

You said, and I quote, "Lincoln was a MARXIST"

Now, do you know what "Marxist" means?

"To say that any state may at pleasure secede from the union is to say that the United States is not a nation," Jackson wrote. "Because the union was formed by a compact, it is said that the parties to that compact may, when they feel themselves aggrieved, depart from it; but it is precisely because it is a compact that they may not. A compact is a binding obligation."

Jackson was wrong on many things, including this one. Even if the Constitution (which is what does form our union) may be considered a "binding compact" upon the states, one that prevents the states from seceding, it must also be considered binding upon the federal government.

Since the federal government systematically evades and ignores the Constitution, that violation of the compact relieves the states of any "binding" requirement that they remain in the union. The states may choose to remain, but it is a choice and not an obligation. It is a choice that I hope the states will make only under the condition that the federal government retreat to the clearly defined enumerated powers granted in the "binding compact" - a compact that must be binding to both sides or to neither.

Neo-cons Love Lincoln
I’m no Neo-con
Add to this Lincoln’s extraordinary disregard for the Constitution during his entire administration.I also stand by my argument that Lincoln was essentially the anti-Jefferson in many ways, including his repudiation of the principle in the Declaration of Independence that governments derive their just powers from the consent of the governed. I don’t see how this can even be debatable.
