Bush: Obama Is Doing Just Fine
You probably wouldnt expect former President George W. Bush, in his first speech since leaving office, to praise his successor.
But thats exactly what he did Tuesday.
In a folksy address to 1,400 people in Canada, he expressed confidence in President Obamas ability to mend the economy and financial system, Jason Enns, a financial advisor who attended the speech, told Bloomberg. Media werent allowed at the event.
He told us: Wall Street had a big party and now were dealing with their hangover, Enns says.
Enns said Bush told the audience that he expects Obama will do a fantastic job and that he will provide help and advice if Obama asks for it.
Bush told the crowd in Calgary, which is the base for much of Canadas oil and natural gas industry, that the U.S. will need the crude extracted from northern Albertas oil sands, the largest reserves outside the Middle East, Enns said.

Well said.
Gerald Ford arranged for his book on his true feelings to be published after his death, very smart of him.
What President Bush thinks or rather what the media says that he thinks or how some twist what he says isn’t going to make or break what happens in 2012. So I really don’t know why all these BDSers are getting their undies in a bundle over it.
This is so infuriating coming from this i wanna bee Democrat.
The weaker they become politically, the more strident, rigid and demanding they become.
As if....
Re: “This is all third hand information, no direct quotes from President Bush. Believe what you will if you can believe the media. This article is crap.”

Agree — if I see him on the news actually speaking those words, I’ll believe it. Media so carefully edits every single word — I am ignoring this unless I get truly reliable info.
I don’t like the word “bash” b/c of the connotation of unfairness. This isn’t “bashing”. I can only wonder if W. thinks that by saying something nice about this Stalinist enemy of America and its military and Constitution that the fellow traveling Obots who hate him will pause and re-evaluate his Presidency. It makes one muse whether his critics were right about his lack of mental acuity. If he knows better, his comment is disgraceful, and deleterious to the republic; if he doesn’t, he had no business ever holding office. There is no third option. Bob
No need to wonder any more: He really did/does have mental issues.
Sorry, but I'm a Bush critic from way back. I didn't much care for his "Read My Lips" dad and really hated the way Junior's watch went. I believe Ronald Reagan best set the example of the way presidents ought to be: firm in the face of America's enemies, always employing overwhelming force when necessary, quickly extracting when not; honest but decidedly Machiavellian when it comes to politics and events! I also don't agree completely with "he kept us safe" as I remember 9/11 occurred on his watch. And I vehemently believe that if he had of employed a response of overwhelming force in the initial phases of OIF, we wouldn't have to say "President Obama" today!
Well there’s no question he was an effective leader and he was courageous although he did some very, very stupid things. Its just I have two articles planned out that are critical of some things, IE: Open Borders and his tax cuts no being large or broad enough and that sort of thing. I’m probably just going to keep it on my blog anyway.
George W. Obama ...
I doubt that he gives a crap about what the Obots think about his presidency. It’s amazing that people have the time or energy to get so bent out of shape about what he is PURPORTED to have said. Their are no direct quotes. There was no press allowed. This article was what other people said that he said. IF he said he wanted him to succeed I highly doubt that it was to succeed with a Marxist agenda, but to listen to the American people, all of them and to start to do right by them.
BDS=Bush Develops Socialists as in (and because of their abysmal presidential records where 90 percent approval numbers were squandered) GHWB and GWB both serve to usher in two of the most liberal presidents in American history. How else do you non-BDSers account for Clinton and Carter getting elected?

Exactly. I think Bush knows full-well what a fool Obama is, he’s just showing the office a little more respect than the former Dem presidents ever did...
So, in effect, you believe that "other people" are lying when they reported what he said?
That does it. I was willing to forgive Bush for the sh*t he did the past 2 years. I’m done with him too.
Hes just going along with the Bilderbergs, just like his old man did, too.
_____________
BINGO!
One symptom of BDS, which was apparent in the libs long before the rise of the disease, is the emergence of paranoid feelings of persecution, the “Poor me, no one lets me say my piece!” Odd how that comes out on threads with dozens of posts saying just the things the sufferer claims are off limits. At least once in dozens of posts bashing him someone will whine “All these Bushbots won’t let us post a single word against W here!”
Criticize him all you want, folks, just don’t be hypocrites, which the Dixie Chix crowd would be rightly calling us if we praised Bush if he did just what they did.
Carter = Carter II (as in zero)

Lying, or taken out of context — who knows? Perhaps GWB just doesn’t want to get into it with Obama. I’ll wait for more info if it’s all the same to you.
