I am all for it. I just don’t see the critters relinquish their power to let it through.

That is why there has been and continues to be a growing grassroots movement to apply pressure on Congress critters to realize they either support The Fair Tax Act or risk losing their jobs at the next election. The 51 Cosponsors who have signed on after less than three months into the new session of Congress is testament to the extent of influence the grassroots movement has on politicians.

Amend the Constitution, getting rid of the authority to levy income taxes. Make the FairTax legislation effective upon repeal of the 16th amendment. Otherwise, they’ll start adding income taxes back in for the “rich,” until we’re at the same point we are at today.
