I agree that our federal government is too large. It has 16 cabinet departments, and the majority of them are unconstitutional, because of the 10th Amendment. Congress should eliminate the Depts. of Education, HHS, Energy, Transportation, and HUD. That would save about $500 billion, per year, which is about 17% of the federal budget. Since the federal government would need less money, they would pass an across-the-board 17% tax rate cut.
